This application targets children aged 3 to 6 and aims to support their understanding of numerical sequences and patterns, fundamental concepts in early mathematics education. Through visualizing the order of numbers, the app seeks to establish a solid foundational skill set for young learners.

Historically, similar activities were employed by educator Manel Wickremasinghe with her Montessori students during the 1970s, originally utilizing paper and colored pencils. Today, Manel has adapted this approach for digital platforms, specifically through this iPad application, which has garnered considerable popularity within the educational app marketplace.

The app extends the traditional Hundred Board activity by allowing children to assemble patterns through auditory cues. As children hear numbers called aloud, they identify and select the corresponding number on the board, which is then visually transferred to form the pattern. This interactive process reinforces number recognition and sequencing skills.

The interface is user-friendly: users select activities from the Home Page; press the speaker button to hear the required number; tap the correct number on the grid; and observe their progress displayed at the bottom of the screen. The inclusion of scoring feedback encourages engagement and progress tracking.

Activities such as this are often recommended by Montessori educators when children are developing their understanding of numerical order. Responding to requests from educators and parents alike, this extension enhances the original toolset for early math development.
