Historically, similar activities were employed by educator Manel Wickremasinghe with her Montessori students during the 1970s, originally utilizing paper and colored pencils. Today, Manel has adapted this approach for digital platforms, specifically through this iPad application, which has garnered considerable popularity within the educational app marketplace.

The app extends the traditional Hundred Board activity by allowing children to assemble patterns through auditory cues. As children hear numbers called aloud, they identify and select the corresponding number on the board, which is then visually transferred to form the pattern. This interactive process reinforces number recognition and sequencing skills.

The interface is user-friendly: users select activities from the Home Page; press the speaker button to hear the required number; tap the correct number on the grid; and observe their progress displayed at the bottom of the screen.
